Known for his relentless work ethic and durability, Ryan brings a distinctive visual style and strong sense of story to each project. His clients include HBO, PBS, National Geographic and The Discovery Channel. In 2011 he was awarded the Sundance Cinematography award for his work on "The Redemption of General Butt Naked". He has worked with aborigines in Australia, former child soldiers in Liberia, Eskimos in Alaska, drug dealers in Oakland, and was embedded with U.S. Special Forces troops in Afghanistan. He recently traveled to Pakistan, Morocco and Israel with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for "Inside the State Department" on National Geographic. Ryan lives in Washington, D.C.
